We are starting a bobwhite quail habitat selection project and want to leg band all the quail we catch. If any of you have had any experience with leg banding bobwhite quail, we would be interested in your suggestions and advice concerning types of leg bands, pliers, suppliers, etc. Also, if you have any suggestions about how to efficiently weigh these birds we would be grateful. You know, stuff like what to put the bird in, cones, bags, pvc tubes, etc. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
