Assistant Professor—Ecology The Department of Biology at New Mexico State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Ecology (job posting #2008011802). We seek an individual committed to undergraduate and graduate education with an outstanding record of research achievement to develop an extramurally funded research program. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in biology or a related field. Post-doctoral experience is preferred. The Department of Biology serves undergraduate majors in Biology, Microbiology and Conservation Ecology, and M.S. and Ph.D. graduate students. We maintain active and diverse research, teaching and outreach programs with strong HHMI, NIH, and NSF support. Research is also supported by natural history museums and affiliations with the Jornada Basin LTER program and the Institute for Applied Biosciences.
