My grad students are wanting explore burrows of mice (Peromyscus) and
gophers for a multitude of reasons and they seem to think that the
Peep-a-roo video probe is the way to go. It has a 1" diameter
terminal camera on the end which should do the job if we can get it
in there and maneuver it around. The 1" diameter for the camera lens
seems a bit wide for a Peromyscus burrow.
Has anyone used one of these (see link below), or something similar
with good, bad, or indifferent results? Any comments would be
extremely welcome as these are not cheap (~$6k).
