Our group is currently working on a project examining the ecology and demography of American white pelicans. As part of this study, we are building a genetic and isotopic basemap of North American American white pelican populations. If anyone has collections of, or access to, American white pelican feathers, we would greatly appreciate hearing from you. We are interested both in obtaining feathers from recently established breeding colonies and long-standing colonies. North Dakota and Ontario samples will be especially helpful.
