The lab of Dr. Randy Bernot at Ball State University in Muncie, IN has openings for motivated and creative students to pursue Masters of Science degrees. Potential research projects include inquiry into the role of parasites and pathogens in freshwater communities and the potential risk of nanomaterials to aquatic ecosystems. Members of the Bernot lab tend to have a particular fondness for snails, but students wishing to use any group of aquatic organisms to ask interesting ecological questions are encouraged to join the lab.
