Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor of Botany and Environmental Biology Biology Department Beloit College
The Biology Department at Beloit College seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor to teach botany, environmental biology and/or environmental studies, and an advanced course in his or her biological specialty during the 2009-2010 academic year. Botany is as an introductory, inquiry-based biology course and the environmental courses are at the intermediate level. All courses are limited to 24 students. Ph.D. or ABD in Biology or a related, appropriate field preferred. This position is an excellent opportunity to gain mentored teaching experience in a department nationally known for innovative pedagogy. Over the last 20 years, temporary instructors in our department have secured tenure-track positions at many colleges and universities.
