Please mark your calendars for the 10th Annual Ecological Integration Symposium at Texas A&M University. The topic for this year's symposium is Resilience from Genes to Ecosystems featuring invited speakers including Dr. Don DeAngelis from the University of Miami, Dr. Randall Hughes from Florida State University, and Dr. Mary Power from University of California-Berkeley. The symposium is completely organized by graduate students, with the objective of stimulating interest and discussion in conservation, ecology, and evolutionary biology. The Ecological Integration Symposium will be held on March 6, 2009 at Rudder Theatre. Following presentations by invited speakers, on March 7, 2009 graduate and undergraduate students are invited to participate in the student research portion of the symposium. If you are participating in Student Research Week (March 23-27), you are welcome to present the same poster or talk in this symposium. Lunch will be provided for all participants, and prizes (up to $100) will be awarded for the best presentations and posters (in graduate and undergraduate categories). Students involved in any stage of research may present their work. To register, please email your title, list of authors, presentation type (oral or poster), and abstract (no more than 250 words) to the address [email protected]. Registration will be due on February 23, 2009. We look forward to seeing you on March 6 and 7! EIS Planning Committee
