Hello, Is anyone aware of any studies that have looked at longitudinal patterns in terrestrial invertebrate abundance, species richness, or species diversity along a river continuum (e.g., comparing the diversity of spiders in the riparian corridor of a first order stream to spider diversity along a fifth order stream)?
I have found plenty of papers that look at the inverts while they are in aquatic stages, but am curious if anyone has looked at patterns in terrestrial inverts (spiders, beetles, snails, etc.) or emerged macroinvertebrates.
