I guess the issue could be put in starker terms if the issue were not
climate change. For example:
Segregation, apartheid, and other forms of discrimination are based on the
belief that black people (and other non-whites) are inferior and sub-human.
As scientists we have good evidence that this is not the case. Should
scientists then take part in civil rights demonstrations, even those that
are illegal?
