Description : Ozark Natural Science Center seeks energetic interns (2) to assist with our residential programming in environmental education and field sciences. The position is designed for those seeking entry-level experience in residential science programming and environmental education.
The intern will assist ONSC field instructors and administrators in delivering 
quality summer science programming.  This includes co-teaching natural history 
activities, assisting in curriculum research and development, supervision of 
campers in the lodges or in tents, co-leading hikes, and potentially co-leading 
backpacking trips.  ONSC will make every effort to provide training and 
experience leading to a successful internship.

Location : near Huntsville, AR

Salary : ONSC will provide housing, utilities, meals (when dining hall is 
open), and a weekly stipend of $200.

Qualifications : Applicants must be energetic and committed to serve ONSC while 
taking advantage of the experience provided.  Applicants must have reached at 
least the sophomore level in an environmental education, biology, ecology, 
geology, or other natural science degree program.  A valid driver's license and 
submission to a criminal background check is required.  Basic First Aid and 
Community CPR certification is preferred.  Interns are expected to be available 
for the duration of summer programming and staff training at the Center from 
June 1 2009 through August 15 2009.
