I am attempting to capture images from a mini-rhizotron on my
computer. The mini-rhizotron sends an output video signal via S--
video, which we can view on a TV. We are looking to upgrade our
computer interface from an ancient parallel port adapter to view and
capture images on a computer to something that works via USB. Apple
or PC compatibility does not matter - we have both.
The desired setup would be mini-rhizotron (S-video) - TV (S-video) -
translator (S-video to USB) - computer. Or remove the TV and use the
computer as the monitor.
Any suggestions of what type of hardware and software would work?
