We invite you to submit your manuscript(s) to Journal of Forestry
Research. The accepted papers will be published promptly WITHOUT page
charges. Publication in this international and well respected Journal
will ensure that your work is made available to a very large audience of
the world.
Journal of Forestry Research (JFR), started in 1990, is an English
language academic journal which is published quarterly by the Ecological
Society of China and the Northeast Forestry University. This publication
is designed to report and disseminate the original research results,
both theoretical and experimental, on forest ecology and forest resource
science for promoting academic communication and exchange between
Chinese and Western scientist and scholars in forestry. The subject
areas featured include all branches of forestry, both pure and applied,
such as Forest management, Tree breeding, Silviculture, Forest ecology,
Landscape ecology, Forest soil, Forest disease and insect, Wildlife
ecology and management, Biology engineering and technology, Wood
science, and Forest engineering.
JFR has become an important academic journal in forestry, with
international impact. At present, around 60 percent of the papers
published in JFR are submissions from international researchers.
(In 2008, the total number of successful full text Downloads at
http://www.springerlink.com reached 11,000!!). It has been attracting
great attention from forestry scholars around the world. The JFR has
been included or indexed by famous international literature databases,
such as CAB Abstracts, Chemical Abstracts (CA), BIOSIS Preview, Abstract
Journal of VINITI, and many Chinese literature databases. The JFR has
been listed in BIOSIS Previews, CAB Abstracts, Chemical Abstracts
Service, and VINITY - Russian Academy of Science, EMBiology (BIOBASE),
Index Copernicus (IC), Zoological Record (ZR), as well as many Chinese
literature databases.
In addition, since 2007, the editorial office of JFR has collaborated
with Springer-Verlag GmbH for print and online publication of the
Journal. Each paper published in JFR is assigned a DOI (Digital Object
Identifier) which is available in the online version of the article, and
all the papers published in the Journal can be searched at
http://www.springerlink.com. Additionally, in 2008, JFR was awarded as
“The outstanding science journals of Chinese universities” by The
Ministry of Education of P. R. China.
