General Position Summary: LSWCD is seeking a highly organized and motivated team member to support the District’s MidCoast Non-point Source Implementation Initiative and Water Quality Program. The position will assist the Watershed Technical Specialist in a variety of tasks including but not limited to: coordinating urban and rural education/outreach activities, identifying and implementing water quality improvement projects, administrating contracts, and assisting with water quality monitoring. Qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Agriculture, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. Additional qualifying experiences or education may substitute for the educational requirements. The ability to effectively manage time, projects and resources is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications is needed. Knowledge and experience with grant writing, community outreach, ArcGIS and/or water quality monitoring is desirable. Job Conditions: Work is required to be performed both in an office environment and in a variety of outdoor field conditions. Requirements: Applicants must furnish own vehicle for this position (mileage will be reimbursed at state standard rate), a valid Oregon driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a good driving record.
