Assistant Professor –Three year term – Natural Resource Sciences
The Department of Natural Resource Sciences at Thompson Rivers University 
seeks an outstanding individual to join its dynamic faculty as an 
Assistant Professor for a three year limited term position starting 
September, 2009. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 
(including the supervision of undergraduate research students), conduct 
research in their field of study, and contribute to the academic life of 
the university. The successful individual has the ability to teach some 
combination of the following courses:  Dendrology, Forest Pathology, 
Forest Entomology, Watershed Management, Natural Resource Policy and 
Planning, Fire Ecology and Management, Conflict Resolution, and 
Introduction to the Science and Management of Natural Resources.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Ph.D. in an area of natural resource sciences
• Evidence of quality teaching at the post-secondary level
• Evidence of research/scholarship in natural resources
• Exemplary communication skills (written, oral and electronic)

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: September, 2009 to May 31, 2012.
