FIELD TECHNICIAN needed to assist with investigation of behavior,
movement, and demographics of Black-backed Woodpeckers in Black Hills
region of South Dakota. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to
assist with a radio telemetry study starting in August and ending in
April 2010, with the possibility to continue through August 2010. Work
includes radio tracking, color-banding, and behavior observations.
Proficiency working with birds, knowledge of radio-telemetry techniques,
and demonstrated ability to operate alone and under difficult field
conditions is essential. Housing and an hourly wage of $10/hr is
