Thanks! Those may be useful in some stages of the experiments, but I don't know that they will particularly help with the problem of the huge time requirement of marking every individual leaving many different ponds. Furthermore, it could be very cost-prohibitive if I mark statistically significant numbers (given that mortality may reach 60-95%).
My hope-against-hope is for some way of marking all the tadpoles in a given pond at once, as in treating the pond with a dye or using stable isotopes (both of which I have ruled out.) Bradley Evan Carlson
