As of today, the Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy (CASSE) is open for membership. Anyone can become a CASSE member, and a CASSE membership base will assist in the crucial transition from economic growth to a steady state economy with stabilized population and consumption. This is a transition that requires consumer education and economic policy reform, which CASSE pursues through a variety of means.
ESA members and other Ecologgers are the first to receive an invitation to become CASSE members. CASSE annual membership dues are $15 for students and $25 for non-students. CASSE is one of the leanest organizations in the non-profit world, comprised almost entirely of distinguished volunteers. Our few paid staff are walking the talk with light ecological footprints and small salaries, happy to be promoting CASSE's vision of a sustainable economy. As a member, you won't get any colorful journals or tote bags, but you can join in CASSE's straightforward mission. You'll also get The Steady Stater, a quarterly newsletter apprising you of CASSE's activities and accomplishments. Your comments and suggestions will always be welcome. We've made it as easy as possible to join CASSE. Just go to: http://steadystate.org/cassemembership.html <http://steadystate.org/cassemembership.html> . The first 100 members will also receive a notification verifying that "You are CASSE Inaugural Member # (1-100)." Cheers, Brian Czech, Ph.D., President Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy
