I'm trying to describe the salinity tolerances of a marsh plant. The literature sometimes refers to it in terms of ppt and at other times in terms of g/L (or mg/L).
How do you convert one to the other? If a mL of water is 1g, then, for example, would 30g/L = 30ppt? Or, do you need to consider the molar (molecular?) masses of water and salt? Thanks in advance.
