The 28th meeting of the Prairie Grouse Technical Council will be held in
Portales, NM on October 5-8, 2009. 

The purpose of the meeting is to: 
(1) gather the Technical Council to identify, discuss, and implement
management actions for prairie grouse, 
(2) provide an atmosphere where managers and biologists working with prairie
grouse can gather and exchange information, 
(3) promote information sharing from current research, and 
(4) foster the integration of science into the implementation of management
for prairie grouse.

We are, also, issuing a call for papers to be included in the meeting
scientific sessions.  The deadline for submission of abstracts for inclusion
in the scientific sessions is September 1, 2009. 
Abstracts should be no longer than 1 page (single spaced). Electronically
