I would add that "Biodiversity : exploring values and priorities in conservation" by Perlman and Adelson might provide great insight into the issues of values, ethics, and how we think about conservation biology. I have not actually read the entire text, but was part of the course upon which it was based and have read many of the chapters and they are both accessible and thought provoking. I agree with Alan that this is an essential part of conservation biology.
