Georgia Tech's School of Biology is seeking applicants for multiple tenure
track positions. The following ad will appear in Science soon. Ecologists
working in relevant areas are encouraged to apply. I'd be happy to answer
questions related to the positions, Georgia Tech, and Atlanta.

The Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the top ranked
educational/research institutions in the country and ranked as one of the
best places to work. As part of significant growth in the biological
sciences, the School of Biology is seeking applications for a tenure-track
position in experimental Molecular Cell Biology, with particular interest in
the areas of epigenetics, macromolecular assemblies, cell-cell and
cell-matrix interactions, stem cell or developmental biology. We also invite
applications for two tenure-track positions for experimentalists working
with Microbial Systems (prokaryotic or eukaryotic), especially in the areas
of molecular biology/synthetic biology/genetics or
ecology/evolution/environmental microbiology. Candidates will be favored
whose research integrates well with the department's existing strengths in
molecular and cell biology, ecology and evolutionary biology, and
computational biology (www.biology.gatech.edu). Georgia Tech is an
interdisciplinary environment where faculty are strongly encouraged to
interact with others from sciences, engineering and computing.

It is anticipated that these positions will be filled at the junior level
but outstanding senior candidates with exceptional records are encouraged to
apply. Candidates should forward a letter of application, full curriculum
vitae, statement of research interests and plans, and contact information
for four references to [email protected] or
[email protected]. Review of applications begins October 1, 2009.
