Hello Everyone – 
 
La MICA Biological Station* (tttp://www.lamica.org) has made great advancements 
in our development over the past couple of months. Here is an update for our 
followers and supporters on EcoLog. It is through your suggestions and comments 
following our updates that we have improved our project (thank you!). 
  
Some of our advancements: 

Posting of new species lists and first weather dataset on our website

First draft of our price list completed and available via email 
([email protected]) for anyone interested in reviewing it or for future 
visitors who would like to begin grant-writing or planning
Development of our RIO (Research and Inventory Opportunities) program, geared 
towards students (of all ages) looking to gain experience in the tropics (email 
for information [email protected]) 
Completion of our first cabin and bathhouse so our facilities can open in a 
minimal capacity very soon (and more buildings planned once funding is 
available)
Continued opportunities to help out our efforts

Virginia artist (with a PhD in ecological sciences) with nature-themed work

Posting of articles about travel to and within Panama, providing much 
information to our visitors
