Ecological Restoration Firm in the Chicago Region requesting quotes for Fish Survey and Reporting Services for a municiple project out for bid. Requirements include:
1.) Perform a fish survey using standard electrofishing sampling methods and produce a report for the Village. Conduct electrofishing at night along the entire perimeter of the lake. Identify, count, and segregate all fish collected by life stage. Determine size and age range for each species, and individual lengths and weights shall be collected from stocked species. Remove and dispose overpopulated fish, such as gizzard shad and carp, collected during survey. 2.) Inspect the lake inlet and outflow structures (4) and aggregate fish habitat structures (6) by use of a diver to check for siltation, clogging, and integrity of water control structures and integrity of fish habitat structures. Provide approximate locations of inlets and outlets prior tot the dive; approximate locations of fish habitat structures appear on the Lake Glenview Map. Provide oral and written summary report describing results of inspection. 3.)Provide sport fish stocking recommendations and review and comment on stocking recommendations by others as part of the annual report. Contribute to a detailed annual water quality report, interpretation, and recommendations for lake water quality, shoreline management, and fishery management.
