The Center for Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Oregon has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher in microbial ecology to work with Drs. Brendan Bohannan, Qusheng Jin and Scott Bridgham. The individual hired for this position will work on projects that are examining the link between microbial community structure and anaerobic biogeochemistry, with an emphasis on methanogenesis, in wetland soils and lake sediments.

A Ph.D. in an appropriate field is required. Candidates must have experience in microbial community analysis. Preference will be given to those with experience linking microbial community structure to ecosystem function. Review of applications will begin on May 26, 2010 with the position open until filled.
