Hi folks, I am trying to learn more about how people set desired future conditions for landscape-scale management. How do land managers learn about succession and the effects of disturbances with the goal of managing vegetation for restoration or otherwise? Are there informative websites they go to? Are there discussion forums? How many people turn to ecological models and/or modelling to learn about how ecosystems work? If people want to understand how an ecosystem worked historically, where do they go for information?
