The Microbial Ecology Section is pleased to announce that we are sponsoring four ($250) travel awards to help support student travel to the 2010 ESA meeting. Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to apply. The student must be the presenting author on a poster or paper that has been accepted for presentation at the annual meeting. The study should deal with the ecology of bacteria, archaea, microeukarya, or viruses; studies that promote the integration of microbial ecology into the general study of ecology are especially welcome.
Applications shall consist of a copy of the abstract accepted by ESA for presentation at the annual meeting, along with a brief cover letter from the student describing the work to be presented. A recommendation from the student's advisor must also be submitted.
