fyi - Here is a new web-based decision tool developed by the Forest
Service..."TACCIMO". It is the 1.0 version but still is thought to be the
most advanced climate change adaptation management tool around, for
forests. This is brought by the same group of scientists that recently
completed another decision tool "CRAFT"

---------------------------------------

The Eastern Forest Environmental Threat Assessment Center (EFETAC) has
launched the Template for Assessing Climate Change Impacts and Management
Options (TACCIMO), an interactive, web-based tool that provides users
opportunity to integrate current climate change science into land
management planning decisions. Please visit
<http://www.forestthreats.org/tools/taccimo>http://www.forestthreats.org/tools/taccimo to learn more about the tool and
to access climate change forecasts, consider effective management options,
and generate customized reports suitable for planning processes. A fact
sheet providing a brief TACCIMO overview is attached.

TACCIMO provides the best available climate change science in a format
relevant to forest planners and managers within the Forest Service, other
federal and state agencies, and non-governmental organizations. The tool
fits within the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and can be
used in land management plan revision, environmental assessments,
environmental impact statements, and reasonable alternatives. TACCIMO
highlights both direct and indirect effects of climate change and helps
identify possible mitigating options. Regular updates will be available as
new knowledge and science emerge and information needs change.

Your review and feedback are greatly appreciated. For additional
