Professor (Open-Rank) in Ecology and Conservation Biology

The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure stream 
position (at the 
Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level) in Ecology and Conservation, to 
begin July 1, 2011. The 
successful applicant must have a strong publication record, evidence of a 
sustained and externally 
funded research program, and a proven commitment to graduate student 
supervision and training. 
Candidates with an active field program are especially encouraged to apply. The 
incumbent will be 
expected to take a leadership role in a planned Professional Master’s graduate 
program in 
Conservation and Biodiversity. The University of Toronto is an international 
leader in biological 
research and education and the Department of Biological Sciences enjoys strong 
ties to other units

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in research and have a 
strong commitment 
to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. They 
will also be expected 
to participate actively in the Graduate Department of Ecology and Evolutionary 
Biology at the 
University of Toronto, and to undertake an active research program centered at 
the University of 
Toronto Scarborough.  

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
