There is no news here, good or otherwise. Finding "no evidence" tells us nothing. It is far too early for any responsible scientist to deliver verdicts on the impacts of the oil and dispersants, and highly-spun, non-information like this has no purpose except selling magazines. There is only one paragraph in the article that means anything, and its something we already knew: "The potential long-term damage that underwater oil plumes and an unprecedented amount of chemical dispersants that BP has spread in the area could have on the region's deep-water ecosystems and food chains might not be known for years."
