Hello professionals working with biological diversity or wildlife related field:

As you are aware, the research, management, and conservation of
biological diversity is a diverse, demanding, and rewarding endeavor - one that
has engendered a host of new field methods, and analytical and interpretive
tools. To stay abreast of the rapidly evolving scientific and applied
landscapes, one tool that many have found to provide a high cost/benefit ratio
with a low annual time requirement is a working group. The Biological
Diversity Working Group of The Wildlife Society (TWS) cordially invites you to
join us in exploring and tackling the upcoming research and management
challenges related to biological diversity and wildlife. Note that 'wildlife'
includes not only hunted species, but also invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles,
birds, non-game mammals, marine and freshwater animals, and the habitats that
all these organisms use to define their existence. Members have expressed
several benefits of being associated with the BDWG, including (1) learning more
about the methods, analytical tools, and skills for studying and managing
biological diversity; (2) meeting other professionals with similar interests;
and (3) networking with leaders in relevant fields. BDWG membership costs only
$5/year, and is open to all members of TWS. Please check us out on the web
(see the left-bar links at http://joomla.wildlife.org/biodiversity/index.php ,
to see the kinds of activities and opportunities that membership in the WG can
provide for YOU !
