Postdoctoral Research Position at University of Virginia Effects of climate change on outbreak dynamics of forest-defoliating insects
I invite applications for a postdoctoral scientist to conduct NSF-funded research on the effects of climate change on the frequency, severity, and periodicity of outbreaks of a variety of forest-defoliating insect species. The successful candidate will conduct quantitative analysis of several exceptionally long time series of outbreak and climate data. Applicants should possess (or be on the verge of possessing) a PhD in ecology or a closely related field. Competitive salary and benefits will be provided for 2 years. The start date is flexible.
