Graduate Research Assistantship in Amphibian Ecology of the Southern Great 
Plains

A MS assistantship and tuition waiver will be available
January 2011 to research amphibian ecology in the southern Great Plains.
Students will be engaged in a project identifying the conservation need of the
Great Plains narrow-mouthed toad and the effects of sedimentation and land-use
on amphibian reproduction. Research is located in New Mexico and will require
periodic travel to, and extended stays in, northeastern New Mexico. (~5 hr
trip).

   

Prospective students should be highly motivated, demonstrate good communication
skills (written and oral), and be willing to conduct extensive field work in
inclement conditions. A BS in natural resources, ecology, or environmental
science is desirable along with some GIS experience. Preference will be given
to students with a competitive GRE score (>1100 Q+V), undergrad GPA
(>3.0), and are able to start by January 2011.
