CONFOR West is an annual conference organized by, and for, graduate students in western North America studying environmental sciences, forestry and other related fields. This year’s conference will be held in Jasper, Alberta, Canada from February 3 to 6, 2011. The 2011 conference theme is, "Ecosystems in Perspective: Integrating Environment, Society & Economy". We hope to expose graduate students to perspectives on environmental and forest research from outside their typical discourses and begin meaningful dialogue between students of different research backgrounds.
