Dear Ecolog, We want to install sensors to collect information along a depth gradient in a changing waterlevel shallow lake (3-4m depth max). The HOBO Pendant Temp/Light Logger is a waterproof, two channel temperature and relative light level logger. We had imagined to fixed them as a garland (chaplet) along a metal tube fixed in the sediment but the sensors must to be placed horizontally. Additionaly we want to be able to remove them easily in order to save data regularly and clean the sediment deposit on the light sensor.
The size of the captor is about 6 cm long with a ring on top (see photo on http://www.microdaq.com/occ/pendant/light-temperature.php) Has someone resolved how to fix the sensors horizontally in the easiest way? Thanks a lot to the "do it yourself man or woman" who could help ! Sincerely Aurélie and Dominique "[email protected]" <[email protected]>
