Hi all, We are preparing a new census of the Saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea) population at Tumamoc Hill (Tucson, AZ), and we are considering using PIT Tags to uniquely identify each plant. We are concerned of the feasibility of using this technology and I would like to know if any of you have any thoughts regarding this; specially regarding lifespan of the tags, appropriate injection depths, and potential impact on plant performance. I'd appreciate any comments
