2 PhD Positions in Urban Hydrology & Biogeochemistry
Two PhD positions are available for a new NSF Water Sustainability and Climate project investigating the impacts of regional climate variability and patterns of urban development on the urban water cycle and nutrient export. A PhD student interested in urban hydrology/modeling will work with Drs. Claire Welty and Andrew Miller at University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in Departments of Civil and Environmental Engineering/Geography and Environmental Systems. A PhD student interested in biogeochemistry/ecosystem ecology will work with Dr. Sujay Kaushal at University of Maryland, College Park in the Department of Geology & Earth System Science Interdisciplinary Center. The students will have opportunities to interact with collaborators at the Baltimore Ecosystem Study Long-Term Ecological Research project. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Claire Welty at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> or Dr. Sujay Kaushal at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.
