The Colorado Natural Heritage Program (CNHP) at Colorado State University (CSU) seeks experienced GIS Analysts to work on wetland mapping in Colorado. The successful candidates will use automated and manual computer processing, including eCognition Developer image recognition software, to convert existing hard-copy National Wetland Inventory (NWI) maps to digital spatial data. Additionally, a subset of the NWI maps will be updated using color infrared and true color aerial imagery and verified through field visits to selected sites. All positions require a Bachelors Degree in information science, computer science, remote sensing, cartography, geography, ecology, natural resources, or related field, OR two (2) years of equivalent GIS experience required. Demonstrated knowledge of principles of geography and cartography is required. One year experience with ArcGIS geodatabases and familiarity with on-screen digitizing in GIS is preferred. Salary range: $2000-2400/month.
