The Steiner lab at Wayne State University is currently recruiting graduate
students (M.S. or Ph.D.) interested in studying aquatic ecology. Research in
the Steiner lab lies at the interface of population and community ecology.
Current projects take place at the Kellogg Biological Station
(http://www.kbs.msu.edu)and focus on the interactive effects of
environmental perturbations and dispersal on the structure and dynamics of
zooplankton populations. Students will be expected to develop independent
research projects in an area of aquatic ecology or evolutionary ecology of
their choosing. Financial support is available in the form of teaching
assistantships and research assistantships.

Qualifications include: a record of academic achievement as an
undergraduate; previous research experience in ecology or
evolutionary ecology; the ability to work independently; a strong/genuine
desire to conduct ecological research in freshwater systems.
