Seeking a Masters Student in Medical Entomology / Vector Ecology I am seeking a Masters student in Entomology interested in mosquito behavioral ecology, vector biology, or medical entomology starting fall semester 2011 at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. My research program is primarily interested in questions of oviposition choice, larval ecology, infectious disease epidemiology, and landscape patterns of mosquito assemblages. Specific projects can be tailored within these areas. Oklahoma State University is Oklahomas premier land-grant institution with a vibrant and diverse student body of over 25,000. Stillwater is a dynamic college town located in Americas heartland. It is about an hour drive from two major metropolitan areas, Tulsa and Oklahoma City, which provide the amenities of big cities. Oklahoma is an ecologically diverse Great Plains state encompassing 10 ecoregions with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. Funding is provided for two years with a combination of teaching and research assistantships. Student packages include a monthly stipend, tuition waivers, and paid health benefits. Following completion of the Masters degree, pursuing a Ph.D. may be possible if space and funding are available. Oklahoma State University is an equal opportunity employer.
