Assistant Professor, Environmental Science/Atmospheric Sciences The Center for Earth and Environmental Science at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Environmental Science beginning August 2011. Responsibilities include: Instruction shall include atmospheric processes, an advanced writing seminar and courses such as oceanography, climate change, water resources or an introductory course in geospatial skills. Candidates may have the opportunity to teach a course in their specialty. The candidate will be expected to show evidence of continuing scholarship involving students and have research interests applicable, but not limited, to the Lake Champlain-Adirondack region. Center faculty have the opportunity to collaborate with the Lake Champlain Research Institute and participate in the Applied Environmental Science Program and masters programs.
Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must be an effective teacher, hold a Ph.D. in an environmental science, and have expertise in atmospheric or climate sciences.
