Dear Ecologers, My name is Lauren Snyder and I am a senior undergraduate at Boston University studying Ecology and Conservation Biology. I will graduate this spring and am currently looking for internships in sustainable agriculture and agro-ecology. I am eager to acquire knowledge and skills relating to these fields, and am very interested in education and community outreach programs.
For the past two and a half years, I have been working in Dr. Thomas Kunz's lab at Boston University studying the social behaviors and agroecosystem services of bats. I spent the 2009 summer field season on an organic pecan orchard in Texas as a research assistant for a graduate student in the Kunz lab; during this time I also developed an independent research project. Last summer I interned at NASA in the Environmental Division at Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, OH. Throughout this internship I was involved in wetland delineation and supported an EIS for the development of a wind farm on NASA property. For those interested, I am happy to provide my resume, references, and any other materials upon request. Please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you, Lauren Snyder P.S. I tried to post this last week, but it did not appear on the listserv. I apologize if this is a repeat message for anyone.
