'Making Science Relevant for the Sustainable Management of Tropical Ecosystems' Newcastle University, UK, 26-28 April 2011 26-27 April Meeting presentations 28 April Scientific Writing workshop Keynote Speakers: Professor Georgina Mace (Director - Centre for Population Studies, Imperial College London, UK) Professor Nick Polunin (Professor of Marine Environmental Sciences, Newcastle University, UK) Dr Toby Gardner (NERC Fellow, Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge, UK) This international early-career researcher meeting will cover all aspects of tropical ecology with two days of presentations (oral and poster), followed by a half-day workshop. The main theme of this yearÂ’s meeting is making tropical ecological research directly relevant for the sustainable management of tropical ecosystems, while also maintaining a strong link to basic ecological theories and concepts. All tropical ecologists are welcome to attend.
