I am working on Phragmites australis at the University of Louisiana. I'm
looking for seeds in this species.

I know that there are a lot of factors that influence seed production in
plants, such as weather, genetics, pollen limitation, etc. But, how common
is it for plants to regularly not produce seeds? As a characteristic of a
species, how common is low-to-no seed production?

Thanks.
