Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce a special issue of Current Zoology entitled Ecology,
Evolution and Behavior of Fishes. We are seeking hypothesis driven manuscripts
of general interest for the special issue to be published in early 2012. We are
particularly interested in several selected topics for this special issue.

-Epigenetics.
-Sexual selection and mating systems.
-Personality.
-Fish movement and migration behavior.

MERITORIOUS ARICLES IN OTHER AREAS WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED.

Overall, we hope to publish 16 papers (4 or 5 of which will be invited feature
articles) representing the latest advances in the study of the ecological and
evolutionary behavior of fishes.

Abstract submission closes May 10th, 2011 and final manuscript closes July
30th, 2011. Please submit abstracts to the Guest Editors,
[email protected], [email protected]. You may send your
manuscript now or by the deadline. Abstracts will serve to invite manuscript
submissions. Finished papers are rapidly available early online, and the
special issue will be published in early 2012.

Current Zoology, formerly Acta Zoologica Sinica, is a bi-monthly, peer-reviewed
international journal of zoology. The journal invites contributions primarily
in English to insure international exposure and is a rising star among
multi-disciplinary zoological journals. The proceedings of the 2008 meeting of
EEEF (Ecological and Evolutionary Ethology of Fishes) was published by Current
Zoology in 2010 and is available at http://www.currentzoology.org. Current
Zoology is one of the few journals fully indexed in all of the major databases
that is both open access and with no page charges or fees for the authors.
Submitted manuscripts are accepted with the understanding that they are subject
to peer review and editorial revision.

Sincerely,

Dr. Scott Pavey,
Professor Julian Dodson
