One of the publications of the Ecological Society of America is its Bulletin. Although the quarterly publication was once mailed in printed form to all ESA members, it is now available only in a digital format. It serves as the publication of record for Society business such as the minutes and results of elections, provides a gallery of photos to accompany recent papers in the other ESA journals, and includes reviews of meetings, the Ecology 101 columns, the History of Ecology series, Resolutions of Respect for deceased ecologists, and other articles and announcements. It has been the source of a wide range of articles that should be of interest to ESA members, including:

Berenbaum, M. R. and R. J. Leskosky (1992). "Life history strategies and population biology in science fiction films." Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America 73(4): 236-240.

Carson, W. P. (1999). "A primer on how to apply to and get admitted to graduate school in ecology and evolutionary biology." Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America 80(4): 246-250.

I'm seeking your feedback about the stature, use, and presentation of the Bulletin, or other thoughts about it. If you have comments, please send them to me directly (unless it's a point you'd like to engender discussion about on the list). If you haven't looked at the latest issues, you can find them at: http://www.esajournals.org/loi/ebul

Thanks.
