The lab of Dr. Scott Bridgham in the Center for Ecology and Evolutionary
Biology at the University of Oregon is looking for a full-time student
intern for summer 2011 as part of the National Science Foundation Research
Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.  The project is examining
controls over production of the greenhouse gas methane in wetlands and its
potential response to climate change.  The student will gain valuable
laboratory experience in environmental chemistry, microbial ecology, and
anaerobic carbon cycling in wetlands.   Current undergraduate science
students with appropriate classes in chemistry, biology, and environmental sciences are encouraged to apply. Students must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. Stipend is $2,000/month. Please send applications
