Practical Permaculture Course in Uvita, Costa Rica. August 5th-14th 2011.
Learn adobe and ferrocement building methods while residing at a tropical
organic farm in the coastal mountainous rainforest of Southwest Costa Rica.
As a group we will construct a large earthen oven and a ferrocement water
tank. These building methods are ecologically friendly and take advantage of
local materials. Move closer to self sufficiency by collecting and storing
rain water and bake your own bread and pizza. Course is hands-on so come
prepared to get dirty and work hard. Your instructors will share both the
theory and practical skills you need to learn these two exciting green
building techniques. Contact [email protected] for more information. Course is
being put on by the Uvita Tropical Studies Institute www.utsi.org and the
Permaculture Institute of North America www.permaculture.org.
