This message is intended for those of you in academy, particular those that assist in scheduling your departments courses.
I realize this is a bit of an odd message to be sending to the TWS list, but I was hoping to hear from those of you that keep track of the days and times of all your departments courses and how they all fit together. One of my tasks is to schedule all the undergraduate and graduate courses for our department. Right now I have this cluttered spreadsheet, and find it harder and harder to visualize how all our courses fit together and whether they conflict with other courses (in and outside of the department). Is anyone using a different software package (other than Excel) that helps with this? Would appreciate hearing what other departments do to keep track of their courses and keep conflicts to a minimum.
