I would like to get some help related to the problem mentioned below.
Here is a data table (attached .xl file) on disturbance measurement of certain
study areas. All parameters are scored based on certain ranking procedure
(like yes = 1, no = 2 or 10-20% = 1, 21-40% =2 etc.), High score means highly
disturbed areas. I want to group these areas based on certain principal
disturbance factors. I think PCA would be appropriate for these data. I
would like to know
1) How to check whether my data is suitable for PCA?
2)Is it required to normalize the data before doing PCA?
any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
