For those interested in one day visiting La MICA Biological Station in central Panama, either as a researcher, student, or simply as a tourist you may be interested in this. This year La MICA is asking people to donate $11. Right now we are offering a free night at La MICA for each donor. This coupon does not expire and can be gifted to someone else. $11 was chosen because it is 2011, but also because this amount of money actually goes a long way in Panama. For example: A GREAT daily wage for a Panamanian is $10 A 100 lb of concrete is $8.50 A 20 lb bag of rice is $6.95 With such funds we are able to continue to advance research and education for our visitors and the local people. If you are interested in one day visiting or simply would like to help our tropical conservation efforts, please consider helping us today.
